A Winery Wedding in Crete
Mark and Olga
Our couple Mark & Olga held their rustic destination wedding on the Greek island of Crete at a beautiful hillside winery. They hosted 100 guests on the day and wanted it to be a boho, colourful occasion full of love.
Mark & Olga wanted the florals to bring a very seasonal, wild and whimsical feel to their day. They also wanted to bring touches of brightness through teal cheesecloth table runners, mustard yellow textured pillar candles and gold painted animal name card holders for each guest.
The dinner was a Meze filled with lots of traditional Greek dishes such as village salads, dips and grilled meats, creating an atmosphere of sharing and fun while the guests dined. The meal was followed by the presentation of a “Groom cake”, much to everyone’s delight and then it was straight into dancing.
The party was kick started by a traditional Greek dancing team who got all the guests up and dancing around the tables to the Zorba and doing male and female group dances around the Bride & Groom. Our couple opened the dance floor under a disco ball and the night went into the early hours under the stars.
